Add a Pop of Color to Your Space- Guest Blogger Crafty Scrappy Happy
We are excited to have Jamie from Crafty, Scrappy, Happy as our guest blogger this week sharing her tips on how to spruce up a space on a small budget.
This weekend I transformed yet another one of my spaces with a pop of color and some serious pattern! It is fun to see what a difference that color and pattern can do to make the space look so much more inviting.
This is what my space looked like prior to my makeover.
I have to admit, I liked the space a lot, but it wasn’t until I added a few pops of coral that I really really loved the space.
I always try to establish a color scheme by choosing a staple color (in this case aqua), then surround that color with other neutrals, BUT then, add a pop of unexpected contrasting color as a complement.
A great way to make a statement in your space is to add pattern and texture.
I have a theory that as long as you mix the scale of the patterns you are incorporating into your space, you can’t go wrong!
Every great space needs great accessories. I love that this giraffe is a bit eclectic, but still a sweet addition to the space.
I like that the space is comfortable and usable, and beautiful at the same time!
As you can see, the outcome is absolutely beautiful as well as livable!

this is just gorgeous! i love the neutral color that pulls the space together but the added pops of color really draw your eye in. I love it and that tray is gorgeous! perfection!
